Astrum is built by gamers, for gamers. We collect only what we need to make the platform work, and we will never sell your data. Period.
What we collect
Account information
Email address and password (encrypted) when you create an account. If you sign in with Google or Twitch, we receive basic profile info from those services.
Profile data
Display name, avatar, and any WoW characters you choose to sync via Battle.net.
Chat messages
Messages you send in Astrum chat. These are stored to display chat history and for moderation purposes.
Usage data
Basic analytics like page visits to help us improve the platform. We don't track you across other sites.
How we use your data
- To let you sign in and use Astrum
- To display your profile and characters to other users
- To moderate chat and keep bots/spam out
- To send you important account emails (password resets, etc.)
What we don't do
- Sell your data to anyone. Ever.
- Use your data for advertising or marketing
- Share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes
- Track you across other websites
Third-party services
We use a few trusted services to run Astrum:
- Supabase — Database and authentication
- Vercel — Website hosting
- Battle.net API — Character sync (only if you connect it)
- Google/Twitch — OAuth sign-in (only if you use it)
Data retention
We keep your data as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we'll remove your profile and personal data. Some chat messages may be retained in anonymized form for moderation improvements.
Your rights
You can:
- •Access your data anytime in your profile and settings
- •Update or correct your information
- •Delete your account from the settings page
- •Contact us to request a copy of your data
Age requirement
Astrum is for users 13 years and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has created an account, please contact us.
Where we operate
Astrum is based in Toronto, Canada. Your data may be processed in Canada and the United States (where our hosting providers operate). By using Astrum, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the platform or via email.
